The Presidents' Tailor
by Kathleen Smith

The Presidents' Tailor is about a Frenchman, Georges de Paris, who came to the United States. After being homeless for a time he was given a chance to become a sewing apprentice. He mastered his craft and became a tailor. President Lyndon B. Johnson was the first president to use Georges de Paris to make his suits. Through the years he was referred to as having been the tailor of the presidents.
